The Nathan Sports QuickDraw Elite handheld is testament to the company’s rep for producing lightweight, runner-friendly designs.  Even the shortest of trail runs require some sort of rehydration, and the QuickDraw Elite makes doing so remarkably convenient and comfortable.  The ample 22-ounce bottle holds just enough water or sports drink to cover you for most any short to medium trail run, or longer ones if your route has spots to top-off.  The QuickDraw Elite is made to go the distance, too, with an easy-off top and sure-fitting, sweat-wicking hand strap that makes gripping the bottle practically an afterthought.

The attached zipper pocket – which also hides an internal key clip – is just the right size for toting a few energy gels for when the runs go longer, and you can stash the trash in the attached mesh pocket.  Daddy likes.  Or load it with your key and cell phone and you’ve got the perfect companion for the gym or exercise class.  The newly-designed strap was a bit fussy at first compared to its predecessors, but once it was dialed-in, it stayed put as promised.  The bottles feel a bit firm and thin, but the lids are practically leak-proof even after repeated opening with your teeth.  You’ll soon find yourself carrying this trail essential on your road runs, too!
