Looking for some outdoor family fun? Come out and participate in the 3rd Annual Little-Big Adventure on September 18th at Lake Crabtree County Park in Raleigh, NC, at 10 am!
The Little-Big Adventure is a three part adventure race made up of adult/child teams–child must be between the ages of 7 and 17. Each team competes together in a .5 mile canoe, 3.5 mile trail bike ride and a 1.5 mile run. Chip timing tracks leg and finish times. Medals are awarded to top finishers in each age and gender group and every one who crosses the finish line receives a Finisher Ribbon! Merrell believes in encouraging and equipping you and your family to get outside and is proud to be the Title Sponsor of the 2010 Little-Big Adventure Series!
All participants will receive an event performance t-shirt, free lunch, premium sponsor items and coupons. There will also be a random prize drawing at the end and everyone has the opportunity to win gift certificates, fantastic prizes and one lucky person will win a Ripper Kayak package with kayak and paddle!
This year a portion of event proceeds will benefit the Outreach Programs at the Cary Family YMCA. Programs such as Y-Life, Y-Rageous, Y-Learning and Y-Achievers are all provided at no cost to qualifying participants. Each of these programs offers children the chance to grow and learn in an energetic, educational and safe environment.
