The S-11 parking lots by the Dean Dome will be the designated event parking lot for runners. There is plenty of room for everyone, so please do not park anywhere else on campus as you may be towed. The walk from the S-11 lots to the start line is 10 minutes at most and volunteers will be available to assist you with directions. Please note that Raleigh Rd between Country Club Rd and the intersection of 15-501 and Rt 54 will be closed from 7:00-10:00 AM on race day. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination if you are driving through Chapel Hill on race morning. Detour signage will be posted. Be sure to check the event website on race week for important race day detours!

Laurel Hill Challenge:
NEW for 2011 is the Laurel Hill Challenge! Laurel Hill Road passes through one of the most exclusive and beautiful neighborhoods in Chapel Hill, but it has a reputation for being one of the most challenging roads to run up. Over the course of approximately one mile, runners will climb just over 200 vertical feet. Runners will cross a timing mat at the bottom and top of Laurel Hill Road. A separate split will be included in your final results, so start placing your bets now with your runner friends!
Blue & White Spring Football Game:
The University of North Carolina will hold its annual Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 9, at 3 p.m. at Kenan Stadium and all runners are invited! Admission to the game is FREE. Last season, Carolina attracted a school-record crowd of nearly 30,000 to its spring scrimmage in front of a nationally-televised audience on ESPN.
