Official Race Description:
Participants will be groaning and grunting, but more importantly, they’ll be cheering … cheering and helping each other through mud holes, walls, trenches, and other obstacles that require swimming, crawling, climbing, jumping, and determination.
Charity:
The annual event was created to raise money, awareness, and support for Marines and their families around Winston-Salem and across the nation who have been wounded or killed while serving on active duty. Profits from the Mud Run are also used to support the Wounded Warrior Project, Toys for Tots, USMC Youth Program, and Veterans Helping Homeless Veterans Heal.
