“It has caused me to look at some dreams that I deferred and pick them back up again and get after them with the same drive and determination!”

Air Force Veteran, Stay-at-Home Mom, and Business Owner – Charlotte, N.C.
There were many women who were attempting to do something they had never done before. Our paths were different – breast cancer survivors, amputees, working moms, stay-at-home moms, business owners, etc. – but we had a common goal to complete the Ramblin’ Rose. I was inspired by that, and the sisterhood of that moment! My husband told me he was so inspired and almost had a “Rudy” moment. For those of you who have seen the movie, you know that is a tearjerker and is probably one of the few films that will make a man cry. So when your husband tells you that, you know that you have done something truly amazing!
“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that I would be a triathlete! And, now I can say that I am! This experience has shown me that if you put in the work, stay committed, and overcome your fears, you can achieve your goals.”
