On March 23rd & 24th, 2013, Spartan Race returns to
the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
We throw everything from cargo nets and ropes, to 8-foot walls and barbed wired,
to slow down racers. You’ll get wet on the course specifically engineered to utilize
the water networks of the Whitewater Center, the surrounding forests and rivers to create an adventure not available in the run of the mill road run or triathlon.
Want to take it to the next level? Participate in the Hurricane Heat for an extra multi-hour dose of non-competitive, team physical exertion.
The scenic U.S. National Whitewater Center and the surrounding marshlands will be transformed into 3-4 mile limit-pushing course for elite competitors and recreational athletes alike.
The event is part of a festival in which spectators and athletes enjoy music and healthy food. Everyone can enjoy fitness-infused vendors and participate in strength competitions such as the Pull-up Challenge, Slosh Pipe Challenge, Kaiser Challenge, and Traverse Wall Challenge.
Racers over 21 get a free beer. Everyone gets bragging rights.
