New Balance Leadville 1210 Trail Shoe
New Balance continues to push the limits on trail shoe design with its Leadville 1210. Inspired by the Leadville 100, New Balance set out to develop a shoe for ultra-runners. Based on the results of studying the feet of runners pre- and post-run at several ultras, New Balance built the 1210 to withstand a 100-mile race while providing maximum comfort in a supportive frame. The 1210 has great toe protection for coming down hill passes, as well as ample room in the forefoot to accommodate the additional foot swelling (about 8%) that occurs during an ultra. The Vibram outsole contains well-designed lugs to provide great traction. Of all the things that can go wrong during the course of a 100-mile race, you don’t want your shoes to be one of them!
Zim’s Max-Freeze
Competing in mud and obstacle course races can leave your body battered and bruised. There are a variety of topical pain medications you can use to soothe those aches and pains, but we like Zim’s Max-Freeze for its handy spray-on and roll-on applicators. Zim’s Max-Freeze delivers temporary relief to aching muscles and joints, as well as back, shoulder or neck pain. It is formulated with naturally based ingredients including aloe, arnica, vitamin E and tea tree oil.
FuelBelt R20 Revenge®
The R20 Revenge® two-bottle belt contains the same helium style belt technology with newly designed molded holsters for easy one-handed entry and exit. We’ve found that even the bottles on your back are easy to remove. And, if you own older FuelBelt bottles, they will fit in the new holster design. The belt stays snug while running and is easily adjustable to get a good fit. The Revenge belt is a great choice for those long training runs where you won’t have access to water.
