The fourth annual Kasey Kahne Five Kahne 5K and Kids’ Dash presented by Great Clips will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13, with the start, finish and post-race festival at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in uptown Charlotte. The 5k will start at 10 a.m. and the Kids’ Dash at 10:50. The race festival will be held from 9 a.m. to noon.
Beneficiaries for the 2013 event are the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, which provides accommodations for the families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at local hospitals, and Friends of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, which provides grants that fund field trips for science, technology, engineering and math students.
Through Oct. 1, registration is $30 for adults and $15 for children under 12. From Oct. 2 through race day, registration is $35 for adults and $25 for children under 12. For more information and to register, visit www.kaseykahnefoundation.org/events.
