Come out to the inaugural RUN AGAINST THE SUN 5K! This is a grassroots event benefiting The Road Warriors, an organization dedicated to inspiring people through running and raising money for families battling cancer. While finding a cure is important, we sometimes forget the financial burden that cancer places on patients and their families. Proceeds from the race go directly to families in need.
The race starts and finishes at Bull City Burger and Brewery in downtown Durham. This route will take you by well-known landmarks like the old Durham Athletic Park, the Bronze Bull statue, and great restaurants and breweries.
The race will take place on Nov. 15, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. and will end with a post-race block party on Parrish Street. All runners are welcome and registration includes a T-shirt and timing chip.
