Ramblin’ Rose Winston-Salem takes place in August at the beautiful Gateway YWCA in the heart of Winston-Salem, NC. It benefits the Gateway YWCA and the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. This event is very popular because of the beautiful venue, 2-loop bike course which is completely closed to traffic, and the run which goes out and back through historic Old Salem.

Note: Relays can consist of 2 or 3 individuals.
Registration Deadlines:
Online registration closes at 8:00 AM on the Thursday before race day.

USAT Requirement:
Ramblin’ Rose events are sanctioned through USA Triathlon. You will be required to purchase a $12 one-day USAT license when you register if you are not a USAT annual member.

Parking:
Please visit www.ramblinroseevents.com for a parking map. Please note, all cars must enter and exit the parking lot located behind the Gateway YWCA via S. Broad St. The S. Main St entrance to the venue will be closed.
Pre-Race Wrenching:
Provided by the expert bike mechanics of Ken’s Bike Shop starting at 6:30 AM near the Transition Area.
Pre-Race Clinic:
Fleet Feet Sports in Winston-Salem – Saturday, August 16th, 3:00-4:00 PM
The staff at Fleet Feet Sports in Winston-Salem will be hosting a free pre-race clinic during packet pick-up hours. This clinic is FREE and is highly recommended for anyone new to triathlon and/or first-time Ramblin’ Rose.
The SWIM
The swim takes place in the beautiful aquatic facility of the YWCA. Participants will exit the pool area to the transition area, located just outside of the pool. Special thanks to Novant Health – Official Swim Course Sponsor.
The BIKE
The Ramblin’ Rose Winston-Salem bike course is the most spectator-friendly course on the Tour and, better yet, it is completely closed to traffic! This 2-loop bike course will utilize S. Main Street, E. Salem Avenue, and go to the downtown business district and back. Yes, there are hills, but you can do this!
The RUN
The run course will take place on the Salem Creek Greenway, which is mostly flat. The out-and-back course will take runners from the YWCA, towards Washington Park and back to the finish line via the wooden pedestrian bridge located in front of the YWCA. There will be an aid station serving water at the turnaround.
The FINISH
Takes place right in front of the YWCA lobby in the parking lot. The sponsor village is just on the other side of the finish line, making this a very intimate finish line experience.
