The City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department’s Streetlight 5K will take place on Friday, July 10 at 7:30 pm in beautiful Historic Downtown Concord. The 5K will start/finish in Downtown Concord on Means Avenue and will run through the McEachern Greenway and continue on the Downtown Connector Greenway to the finish. This course is a USAT&F Certified Course. The Streetlight 5K will coincide with the Firefly Frolic Festival from 6 – 9 pm. This free festival is for the entire family and includes a climbing wall, inflatables, arts & crafts, and there will also be a live musical performance on stage. The Streetlight 5K and Firefly Frolic welcomes families to enjoy music, games and inflatables for children, a 1 Mile Fun Run, and of course a 5K. This event will be fun for every family member whether they are running in the race or cheering their favorite runner to cross the finish line!
Registration is available at www.concordparksandrec.org or by walk in registration at 147 Academy Ave. NW, Concord, NC 28026. All pre-registered runners will receive a goodie bag and T-shirt. Pre-registration will close online on July 3 and by walk in on July 2.
Race Day Registration begins at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 10 on Means Avenue in Downtown Concord. Goodie bags and T-shirts are not guaranteed on race day. The 1-Mile Fun Run will start at 7:00 pm and the Streetlight 5K starts at 7:30 pm. Registration is required for the FREE 1 Mile Fun Run. There is a $15 pre-registration entry fee fro the Streetlight 5K. The Race Day entry fee is $20.
