The third annual Renaissance Center Thanksgiving Day Run will begin at New Balance Durham in the Renaissance Center at Southpoint on Fayetteville Road. The course will cross over Renaissance Parkway and enter the American Tobacco Trail going over the I-40 bridge. This year’s event will include both a 5K and 8K as well as a 1 Mile Fun Run and 100 yard Kids Dash for kids 9 years old and younger. The 5K and 8K will start at 8:30 a.m. and the 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 9:30 a.m. Packet pick-up will be the New Balance store in the Renaissance Center on Wednesday, November 25 from 4-6 p.m. and on race day starting at 7:00 a.m. Awards will be presented to the top three Overall Men and Women and Top 3 Masters Male and Female as well as top finishers in posted Age Divisions for Male & Female. Custom designed shirt will be available in adult and youth sizes but, to guarantee your size, you will need to register prior to November 20. Entrance fees go up November 22. Shirts are not included in the 100 yard dash but, may be available for purchase.
