It Starts With You At The Triangle Tour De Cure Presented By Quintiles
The American Diabetes Association is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Tour de Cure, a series of fundraising cycling events held in 44 states nationwide to benefit their cause, and they want you to be a part of this incredible weekend! Since 1991, Tour de Cure riders have raised over $250 million to help advance their mission and move closer towards their ultimate goal to Stop Diabetes!
The Triangle Tour de Cure presented by Quintiles is more than just a cycling event. It’s a 1-day/2-day event packed with excitement and energy where riders of all levels join forces in the fight to Stop Diabetes® and raise critical funds for diabetes research, education, and advocacy. We promise to go the extra mile to make sure your experience is memorable by including breakfast and lunch, scenic route choices for all types of riders, medical on-course support, well-stocked rest stops, and a finish line festival full of fun activities.
The event features Route Distances of 3, 5, 7, 9, 25, 50, 80/160, 100/200 miles. It starts and finishes in Cary, NC with an overnight locations is in Aberdeen, NC, for the 2-day cyclists. All ages and fitness levels welcome! If you are a beginning cyclist, they will be offering a pre-ride Bike Rodeo where to introduce the basics of bicycle safety and rules of the road before the 3, 5, 7 and 9 mile routes start time; these routes will travel to and around Koka Booth Amphitheatre.
The minimum fundraising requirement is $200 ($50 for children under 12 years old).
