The City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department’s Streetlight 5K takes place Friday, July 8th at 7:30 pm in beautiful Historic Downtown Concord. The USATF certified 5K starts and finishes in Downtown Concord on Means Avenue, runs through the McEachern Greenway, and continues on the Downtown Connector Greenway. The Streetlight 5K coincides with the Firefly Frolic Festival from 6–9 pm. The Streetlight 5K and Firefly Frolic welcomes families to enjoy music, arts & crafts, games, music, inflatables for children, a 1-Mile Fun Run, and the 5K. This event will be fun for every family member whether they are in the race or cheering their favorite runner to the finish line!
Registration is available at www.concordparksandrec.org or in person at 147 Academy Ave. NW, Concord, NC 28026. All pre-registered runners receive a goodie bag and t-shirt. Pre-registration closes July 1.
Race day registration begins at Friday, July 8 at 6:00 pm on Means Avenue in Downtown Concord. Goodie bags and T-shirts are not guaranteed on race day.
The 1-Mile Fun Run starts at 7:00 pm (be sure to register, as registration is required) while the Streetlight 5K starts at 7:30 pm. Registration for the Bunny Run 5K is $15 until July 1 and $20 on race day.
