The City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department’s Veterans Salute 5K takes place Saturday, November 5 at 9:30 am in the beautiful Historic Downtown Concord. The 5K starts and finishes in Downtown Concord on Means Avenue and runs through the McEachern Greenway, continuing on the Downtown Connector Greenway to the finish. This course is a USATF certified course. The Veterans Salute 5K welcomes families to enjoy live music, games, and inflatables for children, along with the 5K and 1-mile Fun Run. This event is fun for every family member whether they are running or cheering their favorite runner to cross the finish line!
Registration is available at www.concordparksandrec.org or in person at 147 Academy Ave. NW, Concord, NC 28026. All pre-registered runners will receive a goodie bag and T-shirt. Pre-registration will close on October 28. Race Day Registration begins at 8:00 am on Saturday, November 5. Goodie bags and T-shirts are not guaranteed on race day.
The 1-mile Fun Run begins at 9:00 am while the Veterans Salute 5K begins at 9:30 am
Registration is required for the FREE 1 Mile Fun Run.
Veterans Salute is $10 for all Veterans. The cost is $15 entry fee for all non-Veterans until October 28. The entry on Race Day is $20.
