Celebrating 60 Years Running
Established in 1958, the Atlantic City Marathon is the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States. A USATF Certified Boston Qualifier, the race historically takes place each year in October. We’re celebrating 60 years on October 21 and hope you can join us!
Each race weekend, Atlantic City hosts four race distances including the 26.2 mile marathon and 13.1 mile half marathon on Sunday and a 10K and 5K on Saturday and a two –day Sports & Fitness Expo.
Fun, Fast, Flat!
The marathon course is noted for being fast and flat, including eight miles of oceanfront Boardwalk running! Taking runners on a tour of Absecon Island, the Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon cover ground in the cities of Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate and Longport. From Boardwalk Casinos to the Marina District and sleepy beach towns, the course offers something for every runner.
The start and finish of all four races is located on the historic Atlantic City Boardwalk along the Atlantic Ocean with easy to access parking and several hotels within walking distance making it ideal for runners traveling to the event for the weekend.
Registration is now open for the 60th Anniversary Atlantic City Marathon race weekend!
