Concord – July 13, 7 p.m.
The City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department’s Streetlight 5k will take place on Friday, July 13, at 7 p.m. in beautiful historic downtown Concord. The USAT&F certified course will start and finish on Means Avenue and will run through the McEachern greenway and continue on the downtown connector greenway to the finish. The Streetlight 5k welcomes families to enjoy live music by Watts Left, games and inflatables for children, a 1-mile fun run, and of course the 5k. This event will be fun for all the family members, whether they are running in the race or cheering their favorite runner to cross the finish line.
Registration is available at www.concordparksandrec.org or in person at 147 Academy Ave. NW, Concord 28026. All pre-registered runners will receive a goodie bag and a T-shirt. Pre-registration will close on July 6. Race-day registration begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 13. Registration is required for the free 1-mile fun run. Goodie bags and T-shirts are not guaranteed on race day. The 1-mile fun run begins at 7 p.m. and the Streetlight 5k begins at 7:30 p.m. Entry fees for the 5k are $15 until July 6 and $20 on race day. The 1-mile fun run is free.
