Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s evening fundraising walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Walkers carry illuminated balloons – red for supporters, white for cancer survivors, and gold in memory of a loved one lost – along a two-mile evening walk to help bring light and hope into the dark world of cancer. More than a walk, the evening also includes entertainment, children’s activities, music, and special events for cancer survivors. Walkers who raise $100 or more are “Champions For Cures” and receive a wristband at the walk entitling them to a T-shirt, dinner and an illuminated balloon. All cancer survivors will receive these special benefits regardless of fundraising level. Throughout the year, walkers form teams to fundraise together. Funds raised are used to support cutting-edge research and vital patient services for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma patients and their families. Walk to make a difference in the fight against cancer!
