We love to ride bikes here at Endurance Magazine. Our sheds and garages are filled with road, mountain, triathlon and commuter bikes. A few of us like to sport our fixies on the way to that little hipster coffee shop. We vacation in the mountains and sometimes that ride from the cabin to nearest road gets a little bumpy so we have a special bike for that, too. We all have one thing in common though. We buy our bikes from local bike shops. Sure, you can save a lot by buying online but, unless you know your frame size, preferred angles, and top-tube length, your best bet is to pick a price range, consider the type of riding you want to do, and then plan a trip to your LBS.
