The City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department’s Streetlight 5K will take place on Friday, July 11, at 7:30 p.m. in beautiful historic downtown Concord. The 5k will start and finish in downtown Concord on Means Avenue and will run through the McEachern Greenway and continue on the Downtown Connector Greenway to the finish. This course is USATF-certified. The Streetlight 5K will coincide with the Firefly Frolic Festival from 6-9 p.m. This free festival is for the entire family and includes a climbing wall, inflatables, arts and crafts, and there will also be a live performance from the Southern rock band Watts Left. The Streetlight 5K and Firefly Frolic welcome families to enjoy the music, games and inflatables, a 1-mile fun run and the 5k. This event will be fun for all family members, whether they are running in the race or cheering their favorite runner to cross the finish line!
Registration is available at www.concordparksandrec.org or in person at 147 Academy Ave. NW, Concord, NC 28026. All preregistered runners will receive a goody bag and T-shirt. Pre-registration will close on July 4. Race-day registration will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 11, on Means Avenue in downtown Concord. Goody bags and T-shirts are not guaranteed on race day.

Streetlight 5K: 7:30 p.m.
Registration is required for the FREE 1-mile fun run.
Bunny Run 5K: $15 entry fee until July 4. $20 race-day entry fee.
