Durham – April 28
If civilization ended today would you survive tomorrow?
If you’re ready to find out, take a deep breath, push your fears aside and sign up for the adrenaline-pumping new off-road obstacle race called the Primal Mud Run, which features a four- to six-mile course designed to challenge you like you’ve never been challenged before. You’ll run, walk, crawl and climb through a series of obstacles on a muddy course – a pure test of the physical and mental skills needed to survive in a world devoid of technology, fast food, and big-box gyms. Out here it’s just you and the obstacles that lie in your path. Do you have the physical and mental skills necessary to survive?
The Primal Mud Run in Durham features a permanent course, which means you’ll find the most challenging course imaginable, not to mention live music and free beer for participants over 21. Finishers also receive a Primal T-shirt and a Primal Mud Run finisher award. And, yes, like other events, you can wear a costume but there is one caveat – it’s got to be a bad-ass costume! The organizers of the Primal Mud Run also don’t believe you should have to wait in long lines during the race, so the number of participants is limited.
The Primal Mud Run isn’t for everyone, but for those of you who call yourselves endurance athletes, come “Play Dirty and Get Primal.”
